Also, be sure to check out how to dye boiled eggs without food colors. One of these days I’m going to do pink. I even have the red cabbage slowly going soft in the refrigerator. Hmmm, maybe a good holiday weekend project!
If this seems like a crazy amount of work but you get a kick out of cute eggs, check out the egg molds section of my affiliate store (link is up there ^^). Cora is a little sick of them now, but they are adorable.
All methods of shaping eggs require warm eggs that are freshly boiled and go straight from peeling into the mold. To keep the yolks centered, you need to stir the eggs frequently while they boil. This is maybe the most time consuming thing I make in Cora’s lunches (and she rarely eats them), so I’m experimenting with making eggs with just whites and a mold like those Seen on TV thingies. The results have been mixed so far, but once I have it down, I will make a tutorial of my own 🙂

Good news! Cora will eat a cute lunch if its a snowman. Sooo, here we have a cheese and egg sheet snowman sandwich embellished with spinach, pink soy paper and, of course, a carrot nose. Also, melon balls Cora helped me make, chips and baby carrots to dip in Ranch dressing

Cora went on strike and refused to eat any cute lunches. I tried to work the jealousy angle and made a cute lunch for her Daddy instead. It didn’t work but at least he loved it 🙂
